We Started Alpine to Do This Right
In 2021, Mark and Madisen Brocklehurst founded Alpine Cleaning Company with a straightforward goal: build something of their own, in the city they call home, and do the work better than it was being done.
They didn’t come from a franchise playbook or a corporate cleaning background. They came with a work ethic, a belief that a cleaning company could actually be a professional operation — one that showed up on time, communicated clearly, used the right products, and stood behind the results — and a commitment to building it together.
That’s still the company today.
Meet Mark and Madisen
Mark Brocklehurst handles business development, client relationships, and operations. He’s the voice behind most client conversations and the person accountable for whether your service program is working.
Madisen Brocklehurst co-founded Alpine alongside Mark and has been part of building the company from day one. Together, they’ve grown Alpine from a startup into a trusted name in Spokane commercial cleaning, without losing the hands-on accountability that comes with being owner-operated.
They live and work in Spokane. This community is home — not a market.
The Management Team
It really does take a village.
Cynthia – Office Manager
Cynthia is the operational center of Alpine Cleaning Company. She manages scheduling across all client accounts, handles inbound calls, leads issue resolution, and keeps the team running smoothly day to day. If something needs to be coordinated, communicated, or corrected, Cynthia is who makes it happen.
She joined Alpine in 2023 and brought with her years of experience in the industry. Clients who call the office know her by name, and that’s not an accident — she takes the time to know accounts, not just manage tickets. Cynthia is a smooth operator, she keep things organized.
Stephanie – Team Supervisor
Stephanie keeps the field side of Alpine running at standard. As our janitorial supervisor, she’s out with the team — helping where needed, conducting quality checks, and making sure what we committed to a client is actually what gets delivered. She’s the person who catches the things that slip through and fixes them before they become a complaint. For our crews, she sets the bar. For our clients, she’s the reason that bar stays consistent.
Shannon – Team Supervisor
Shannon leads our daytime operations, specializing in the more demanding end of the work — move-out cleans at apartment complexes and post-construction cleaning jobs that require a higher level of detail and a higher tolerance for the unexpected. She’s on-site with the team, not managing from a distance, which means quality issues get caught and corrected in real time rather than after a client calls. Shannon keeps the day crew focused, supported, and delivering at the standard Alpine’s reputation is built on.
Who We Are
Alpine Cleaning Company is a locally owned commercial cleaning company based in Spokane, Washington. We provide janitorial services, day porter coverage, floor care, and specialty cleaning for commercial offices, medical and dental facilities, daycare and preschool facilities, retail properties, and property management clients across Spokane and the Inland Northwest.
We are not a franchise. There is no national brand collecting a cut, no call center in another state handling your account, and no rotating cast of subcontractors who don’t know your building. When you work with Alpine, you work with Mark and Madisen’s company, staffed by Alpine’s employees, accountable to the standard they’ve built.
That distinction matters more than most clients expect it to, usually after they’ve spent time with a company where it doesn’t.
Why Clients Choose Alpine Over a Franchise
National cleaning franchises come with brand recognition and a standard pitch. What they often can’t deliver is consistency, accountability, and a vendor who actually knows your facility.
With a franchise, your account is typically managed through layers: a local franchisee, regional oversight, and a national support structure. Staff turnover is high. When something goes wrong, accountability diffuses. You get a call center, not a decision-maker.
With Alpine, the owners are reachable. The staff is employed and trained by Alpine, not subcontracted out. Your service history is known, your preferences are documented, and the person you talked to when you signed is still the person responsible for your account.
That’s not a marketing claim. It’s just how a well-run small business works.
What We Believe
A clean facility is a managed outcome, not a one-time event. Cleaning isn’t maintenance in the same way that emptying a trash can is maintenance. A truly clean commercial facility — one that reflects well on your business, meets industry compliance standards, and creates a safe environment for employees and clients — requires consistent systems, properly trained people, and a vendor who cares whether it was done right. We build programs around that standard, not around the lowest bid.
The people doing the work are the product. The quality of a cleaning company lives entirely in its staff. We hire carefully, train specifically for each environment we serve, and work to retain good people over the long term. Consistent crew assignment isn’t just a nice-to-have — it produces better results, and it means you know who is in your building.
Local accountability is real accountability. When something isn’t right, you should be able to reach someone who knows your account, your building, and your history — and who has a direct stake in fixing it. That’s what local ownership means in practice. We’re in Spokane. This is our reputation.
